Speedbird Climate specialises in integrating weather and climate forecasting (including its own models) with important data on riverflow, dam in-fill rates, agricultural production models and insurance systems.

This means that the forecast output – for months or years ahead but especially for the coming season – can be either simple rainfall or temperature probability values relevant for that season, but also probability values of streamflow or dam in-fill rates in megalitres, or crop production in kg/ha, or even in development of better insurance products.

This type of specialist work can be for a small part of Queensland, Australia, or anywhere in the world where we have data available.

To add to these specialisations, we also have core expertise in weather and climate data recovery, including from centuries-old logbooks and shipping data that would have otherwise remained hidden in museums.

With these data we can reconstruct many long-term weather data that are important in better understanding long-term climate trends and for inclusion in our weather and
climate models’.
